I complete this game in 3 month, playing it 32 times and spending on its walkthrough and characters leveling more than 100 hours.
This period of life and gaming was kinda hard for me. Sometimes I played it every day for 3-4 hours but sometimes for two weeks did not played it at all.
And finally came this happy moment whan I reached the ending. Now I can express my opinion about this game.
Firstly Eternal Sonata have a very qualitative and powerful graphics.
Than I saw screenshots from this game for the first time it was like "WOW, This is the game I wanna play"
This game have fantasy style graphics. With an amazing drawing of characters, locations.
So the graphics was the first moment that touched my heart.
Next I liked the story than i first read it. But this story, playing though the game, was kinda dissapoitning for me.
Playing this game you can teach some historical facts about Chopin, not only learn game story. (This historical facts firstly was kinda hard for me to accept).
Also I like this game for so many save points (Except for Unison). It was very comfortable.
Combat system is also on high level. Firstly for me was kinda hard for accept that the combat system eventually going harder and harder.
First party level seems ridiculous for me now. Now I understand that is designed specially for beginners (noobs).
The only thing that I did not like is six party level and changing palces of attack and defense buttons. It was very uncomfortable.
Game is accompanied by beautiful background sound. I love classical music so that it also brings the game possitive notes.
Now lets talk about negative moments. First dissapoitning thing is game length. You can complete game in 30-40 hours. (playng only for a story and not leveling characters)
Second negative moment is about characters. Their live story is closed for us. And this is bad.
Also there is only few puzzles in the game, this is not typical for Namco games.
Few type of monsters that only change color throughout the game, few minor characters also is negative moment. I did not like the ending also... so... yes.
In fact Etenal Sonata 100% is not a masterpiece, but it is not too bad at all. It is worth play it at least once.
